Jade colored buds and leaves, with a small rolled balls like oolong tea.

Tea Liquor Produced an attractive golden to green tea with a very bright appearance. 

Flavor: fresh, pure milk, light grassy, floral.

Taste Aroma was very much like a typical green tea. Main flavours were of vegetables becoming more floral in later infusions. Overall the flavour was pure but quite light similar to a Japanese Green Tea. Tea had little body but was sweet with no bitterness.

When your taste buds want a really refreshing tea, Jin xuan green tea is a perfect choice, and is widely drunk in Vietnam during and after meals with strongly flavoured foods. With a very consistent size and shape, Dong Son's green tea is a grade 1 Jin Xuan that has been picked early in Spring, before the rainy season sets in, to ensure it has the best taste and a smooth, sweet aftertaste this tea is famed for.

The production of this tea, especially high quality Jin Xuan  like Dong Son's, is particularly laborious and time consuming, due to the product being made primarily from the youngest tea buds. The tea leaves are picked, dried, and heat-treated to stop fermentation of the loose leaf green tea. The heat treatment consists of roasting the tea leaves in a hot roasting pan. After moisture is removed through the heat treatment, the tea leaves are typically rolled and dried again before ready for use and therefore are often roundish shape like oolong tea. They are quite convenient for packaging and transporting. This high quality tea does not contain tea dusts, provide excellent taste and flavors. After the dried tea is being seeped in water, you can expect to see the tea buds unrolled and expanded whole in the water back to the original shape of the tea leaf.

This green tea produced by only 2 leaves and a bud from Jin Xuan tea tree ( Tai Cha No.12, or Tai Cha No.27) that comes from Taiwan,  our dedicated farmer carefully select and manually pick tea leaves for non-fermented process. The first, the fresh tea leaves are removed greenness, next is roasting, then is crumpling, after that is shaping, and finally drying and packaging.

Green tea grade A must meet the following standards :

Dry Tea: twisted into large full particles, round shape, glossy and dark green
Wet Leaf: leaves are soft and tender in complete shape with obvious buds.
Watercolor : bright and clean in light greenish
Taste : sweet, soft and smooth.

Flavor : pure aroma, fruity fragrance, fresh taste.

Due to the high technical requirements, it is difficult to do and requires high fresh tea, output of green tea product is relatively low.

Our green tea is hand-plucked tea , This tea garden is cultivated in the western plateau, at the end of Truong Son Mountains too, close to the primitive forest. It belongs to a low developed area of land therefore little polluted. The soil layer is thick, suitable for the growth of all kinds of plants. The garden is in between 1,000 to 1,100 meters height compared with the sea level, covered with clouds and mist all the year round, nice and cool weather in four seasons, with wonderful fresh air.

As for quality, the output from over 1100 meter is excellent in both flavor and tasting.
